PI started the new decade with a silent and long planned generational change of the company management. After 42 years as managing director, Dr. Karl Spanner has handed over the management of the company to his son, Markus Spanner.
Shaping The Future Together
This year, PI will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. An occasion to look back on the company's successes: In close exchange with the customers, exciting projects were realized and the limits of the technically possible were pushed again and again. We intend to continue doing so in the future.
A lot will change with the new structure, the fundamental values, however, will be retained: Long-term business relationships, reliability, open and friendly communication with customers and suppliers are crucial for PI – more important than short-term gain.
Global Management Team
A new structure was established in order to meet the demands of customers, markets, and last but not least our constantly growing company. This is the new Management Team at PI:
- Stéphane Bussa has been managing global sales over the past few years. As Chief Sales Officer (CSO), he is responsible for Sales and Marketing.
- Dr. Markus Czanta joined our company recently. As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), he will be responsible for driving research and development forward.
- Markus Spanner has had 11 years of managerial responsibilities at PI, his last position being Managing Director Finance & Controlling. In the future, he will lead PI as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with sole power of representation.
- Heiko Brehm is responsible as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for finance, personnel, IT and investment management.
- Dr. Peter Schittenhelm,with his many years of experience in the company and with his expertise as Chief Operations Officer (COO), he takes over the responsibility for manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and processes.
